The Kind of Trip Where
Your Kids Ask to Come Back

Broken Bow gives you the Branson/Gatlinburg combo of nature plus kid-friendly attractions — except way less crowded and way more pine trees. Most activities are clustered along Highway 259 in Hochatown, so you're never more than 10 minutes from the next thing. Here's what works at every age.

Kids get to mine for gemstones, uncover dinosaur fossils and shark teeth, explore a pirate ship play area, and play the Kraken 9 mini-golf course. Endless combinations — just ask at the counter. Warning: the gift shop is dangerous. Your kids will want everything.

Beavers Bend Train Depot
A 1/3 scale replica of a C.P. Huntington train that winds through the state park with rides twice an hour. The conductor has all the cheesy jokes, and you'll often spot deer along the way. Combine it with the playground across the street and a picnic. Pony rides and horseback riding are also available on-site.

Beavers Bend Wildlife Museum
A local taxidermist turned his big-game collection into an incredible walk-through exhibit with African and North American wildlife. With little kids, it's a quick 20-minute walk-through.
