About Haute Vie
Haute Vie isn't a typical cabin rental company. It started with a simple question: what would happen if you applied 30 years of large-scale software optimization to the short-term rental industry? The answer is a luxury cabin brand that outperforms its market in every state it operates in.
The Origin Story
Before Haute Vie existed, there was a 30-year career at one of the world's most recognized technology companies. The work was building and optimizing large-scale software systems in the cloud — collaborating with teams at AWS, Meta, Twitter, Airbnb, and others. Every day, the job was the same fundamental question: how do you squeeze maximum performance from every resource in a complex system?
That mindset doesn't turn off when you leave the office. When we bought our first vacation rental, we saw the same inefficiencies we'd spent decades solving in software — pricing left on the table, listings that underperformed their potential, operations that leaked money at every turn. Most property managers treated cabins like a volume business. We saw each one as a system to optimize.
So we built Haute Vie around a different thesis: fewer properties, more revenue from each one. It worked in our first market. Then the second. Then the third. Today we operate top-grossing cabins across six states, and every property in our portfolio outperforms its market by size class. The engineering discipline that scaled cloud infrastructure now scales cabin income.
Our Philosophy
Walk into any Haute Vie cabin and you'll feel it immediately — something is different. The lighting isn't generic. The furniture wasn't ordered from a catalog. The linens aren't an afterthought. Every detail, from the way the kitchen is stocked to the angle of the deck chairs facing the treeline, has been considered.
That's not decorating. That's the same optimization discipline applied to the guest experience. Every touchpoint is a variable that affects reviews, repeat bookings, and revenue. The throw blanket on the sofa. The coffee brand in the cabinet. The playlist cued on the speaker. None of it is random.
The result is a brand that guests remember by name. They don't say "we stayed at a cabin in Broken Bow." They say "we stayed at a Haute Vie cabin." That distinction is worth everything — to guests, to owners, and to the long-term value of every property in our portfolio.
Haute Vie is French for "high life." It's not about excess — it's about elevation. Raising the standard of what a cabin stay can be, what a guest can expect, and what an owner can earn.
Six States. One Standard.
Most cabin companies know one market. We operate across six states — mountain cabins, lakefront properties, desert retreats, and forest getaways. That geographical diversity isn't about bragging rights. It's a competitive advantage.
When Broken Bow demand shifts, we can see whether it's a local anomaly or a national pattern because we're watching five other markets simultaneously. When a pricing strategy works in one region, we test it in another. When new STR regulations emerge in one state, we're already prepared because we've likely navigated something similar elsewhere.
For our Broken Bow owners, this means something no local-only manager can offer: decisions informed by the broader short-term rental market, not just what's happening on Highway 259. For our guests, it means a hospitality standard that's been refined across hundreds of properties and thousands of stays nationwide.
What We Believe
The Team
Haute Vie is run by a small, hands-on team where every person is directly involved in the guest experience and property performance. There's no middle management layer between you and the people who care about your stay — or your investment.

Thoughtful amenities. And the kind of quiet, immersive setting that makes you forget what day it is.
